• First : Create a SmartNewsletter list
• Second : create your first SmartNewsletter in this list with the tag [SMARTNEWSLETTER].
  You can refer to the article : How to set up a Smart Newsletter if you need so.
  

1. Before testing anything, make sure that : 

• You use at least Acajoom PRO 1.4.3
• Your license is valid
• You wrote the tag [SMARTNEWSLETTER] in your SmartNewsletter
• The list you created for this SmartNewsletter is published
  
• The SmartNewsletter you created has an 'Issue number' : 0
• The 'Start date' for the SmartNewsletter list is in the past

2. Reset all Smart Newsletters counters 

Go on the Acajoom configuration page and click on the button 'Reset S.N. counter'.

This step will reset all your Smart-Newsletters counters so Acajoom will take all your articles from the category/section selected in your SmartNewsletter list (not only new Articles).

3. Let Acajoom create a Scheduled Newsletter from this Smart Newsletter

Go on the Acajoom configuration page and click on 'Process Queue'.

This step is automatically launched if you have a cron task but if you click on this button, you will force Acajoom to 'process the queue', that means Acajoom will do what needs to be done!

For this first step, Acajoom will create a new Newsletter and schedule it.

You can see this new scheduled Newsletter (with the scheduled icon) in the 'Smart Newsletter' page. You should see a Newsletter with an issue number = 1 just under your own Smart Newsletter (which is still unpublished and issue number = 0).

4. Let Acajoom send this Scheduled Newsletter

Go back to the Acajoom configuration page and click again on 'Process Queue'.

Your scheduled Newsletter was created with the last step. Acajoom will now send it to your whole list!

And you should receive this Newsletter if you added your address to the Smart Newsletter list.

You tested manually all the process. Now, Acajoom will do the job automatically if your cron task works!

Acajoom will automatically generate a new Scheduled Newsletter but will only include in this Scheduled Newsletter all your new articles from the selected section/category. If you don't have new articles in the selected section/category when Acajoom have to generate your scheduled Newsletter, Acajoom won't generate it but will wait until the next frequency. Do never click again on the button 'Reset S.N counters' otherwise Acajoom will include ALL your Articles in the next Newsletter.
