SOLVED - Install problems - 2008/07/03 20:10 Hi,

I'm trying out the Acajoom Free module, but I experience a problem. When I install Acajoom a blank page shows in the admin. No error reports or something. If I push the refresh button it will shows the following error.

* Component Install: Another Component is already using directory: "/chroot/home/juwelie1/juweliervanderploeg.nl/html/components/com_acajoom"
* Component Install: Another Component is already using directory: "/chroot/home/juwelie1/juweliervanderploeg.nl/html/administrator/components/ com_acajoom"

Message

* Install Component Error

When I check by ftp what Acajoom installed, it installed the following folders:
# Joomla / Administrator / Components /
# Joomla / Components /
The rest is not there.

When I want to uninstall the Acajoom component it shows itself only by name of the component (acajoom) , there is no info about author, version and date. When I uninstall Joomla there is also an error

* JInstaller::install: ERRORXMLSETUP
* If this Extension has created tables or installed additional files, they must be removed manually.

Im working with Joomla 1.5.3.
My legacy modus is on.
My system debug is also on.

I have used Acajoom before and installed it without any problem. I have tried some solutions but they all do not work. Can anybody help me?

Greets,

Sakin

Re:Install problems - 2008/07/03 21:27 Hello Sakin,

Please, make sure that Acajoom is totally removed :
Clean the database.
Verify in the database > table jos_modules if the module isn't already registered.
Verify that all files are removed.

Then, install Acajoom.

If you have a blank page or an error, please refer to our documentation for the installation errors :
http://www.acajoom.com/content/view/7871/93/

Let me know if you have any problem.
*** Please, read our official documentation before posting. Thank you ***

Best regards,
Jonathan

Re:Install problems - 2008/07/03 22:13 Hello Jonatan,

Thnx for your reply. I already checked the acajoom site for faq and solutions to problems. The link you send me I already read, all are no solution to my problem.

I think its a database problem though. I maybe found a solutions, when it works i will post it : ).

Re:Install problems - 2008/07/04 18:55 Ok, my problem is solved . Like I said in the previous post the problem was caused through the database. My database was set to a memory limit of 8mb. This was not enough space to activate and install acajoom properly. I changed the memory limit from 8mb to 16mb with a .htacces file and the problem was solved.

Sakin
