A strange subscriber list importing problem - 2008/05/13 18:26 I am using Acajoom News 2.0.6 and Joomla 1.0.15

I was trying to import a csv file to the subscriber list. After selecting the csv file and clicking Import, the next page becomes Joomla administrator home page, i.e. the control panel page. No error message was shown.

I went back to Acajoom subscriber page, no subscriber is added.

To confirm that the csv file is OK, I tried importing it using another website also using Acajoom News 2.0.6 and Joomla 1.0.15, and it works. That means, the csv file is OK.

I had also tried the most common solutions mentioned in this forum. That is, changed the permission of Upload folder to 777 and/or added a '/' at the end of path /components/com_acajoom/upload in the
Configuration menu.

But the result is still the same. No error message, jumped to Joomla Control Panel page.

Please help...

Re:A strange subscriber list importing problem - 2008/05/13 19:46 Hello afatac,

You can try to turn on the debug mod to see if the problem doesn't come from the SQL queries.

In the menu System > System Info, have you verified if the System info doesn't show bad configuration and if the directory permissions are writable ?

Re:A strange subscriber list importing problem - 2008/05/14 00:34 Yes, all the directories listed there are writeable.

But here comes the interesting part. After turning on the debug mode and upload the csv file again, it works!

There is a error message though. Don't understand what it means.

Notice: You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'SELECT DISTINCT M.id FROM jos_acajoom_subscribers AS M ) AS result' at line 1 in /users/web/ozasia/web/includes/database.php on line 307

Re:A strange subscriber list importing problem - 2008/05/14 12:12 I have uninstall the current Acajoom and re-install the newly downloaded version.

Yes, it works and the error message is not there anymore. But.... once I turn off the debug mode, everything is back to square one.

That is, no import, no error message, jump to Joomla Control Panel page.
