Re:Can't get Smart Newsletters to work. - 2008/06/08 02:07
1/ You don't have to publish your Acajoom module, the Acajoom module has nothing to do with the cron task
2/ jScheduler on joobisoft.com uses the address /index2.php?option=com_acajoom&act=cron&Itemid=999 so the Joomla template is not loaded (index2.php instead of index.php) and this url will still work even if you create a restricted access to the component on Joomla (Itemid=999)... that's why!
3/ I tested your url and I can see that the Acajoom component is launched properly (there is nothing in the page but I checked the source code and I can see some traces from Acajooom)
So... Your website can be launched by the cron task, and if you configured your cron task with joobisoft.com, I'm sure it works! (You should try to add quotes if you want to use your own cron task) So your cron task is working fine. You should try to reset the S.N counters so you will force Acajoom to regenerate a SmartNewsletter as soon as the cron task will launch Acajoom : 1/ Click on the button 'Reset S.N counters' (that will reset the counters and all your Joomla contents will be included in the next SmartNewsletter) 2/ Don't do anything else! Do not click on the button 'Process Queue'! Simply wait and Acajoom will automatically generate and send your SmartNewsletter so you can be sure that your cron task works.
