Re:how to resolve this? - 2008/05/21 01:45 Hello Jo,

If an user unsubscribe from an auto-responder, it won't be subscribe to the newsletter.

To verify, you can create some auto-responders linked to a newsletter and create an user. Subscribe him.
In the same time, verify your database, particularly the table jos_acajoom_queue
Run the first auto-responder, verify the table.
Unsubscribe him
And verify again your queue.

He will be removed, so the subscription process to the newsletter will be canceled for this user.

Re:how to resolve this? - 2008/05/21 12:56 Hi kornikopic,

thanks for the response.
just to clarify, a newsletter can follow up on an auto-responder? (on the description it says specify here following up auto-responder)
also with this method, if the subscriber is part of the newsletter before he unsubscribe on the auto-responder, would his subscription on the newsletter be removed?

wow.. confusing..

Re:how to resolve this? - 2008/05/21 22:15 Hello Jo,

I'll give you an example :
You create 2 auto-responders.
One is sent 1 day after subscription, and the other one is sent 3 days after the last auto-responder.

After that, the user will be unsubscribed.

Now, you want to subscribe your user to a newsletter list after sending the auto-responders.

You will create your newsletter list and you will get the ID of the newsletter list.
You will create your auto-responder list and you will set the ID in the follow-up field.

So, when a user subscribes to the auto-responder list, he will receive the email and after he will automatically subscribe to the newsletter.

[USER] ----> Autoresponder1 ----> Autoresponder2 ----> Newsletter

It's a cycle. So, if he unsubscribe, the cycle is broken and he won't receive the next emails.

I hope my example will help you to understand better the process.
