I get the message:
"Your Extension appears to be written for an older version of Joomla!. You must enable the System - Legacy Plugin in the Plugin Manager if you wish to complete this task.
Install Component Error"
when I try to install "AcajoomNews1.5.6.zip" with the Extention Manager interface of my Joomla 1.5 RC3.

Can you explain me ?

I had the same problem when I was installing Acajoom under RC3.

The problem is that it is not compatible with Joomla 1.5, but you can use it all the same using the compatibility mode (or legacy mode) in Joomla.

To ativate legacy mode, got to de administration and in the Extensions menu choose Plugin Manager

Look for a plugin named System-Legacy (it should be in the second page) and enable it.

In the top-left of the page there will be an information saying you are in Legacy 1.0 mode.

You can see it in the attached image.

You're done. Now just install Acajoom and most of it's features will work fine.
