Great So This Acajoom doesnt work? - 2007/12/21 13:27 Hey Mates
So I see this component doest even work without hacking so I cant be bothered with it! Might as well get the money back cause im having the same probs as everyone else cron is running but not leaving acajoom and totally wasting my time ! Guess I wll set up my own cron commands.

But what's your problem?
Acajoom doesn't need to be hacked anywhere.
Sometimes we post solution on the forum for old problem but those solutions are always included in our next version.
Actually, I think you downloaded Acajoom Plus 1.5.7 and you don't need to change anything in this component to make it work.

Maybe I can help you to configure your cron task if there is something you don't understand ?

Yes I did Purchase Plus and I have installed jcron scheduler also! The Problem is I setup a scheduled Newsletter and the Jcron scheduler all as per the videos and nothing works at all I get no emails! Other than an email every hour saying Jcron Daemon! Thats it thats all it says!

I have tried setting up with 15 mins and 3 emails every hour every day every month etc! I have close to 2000 members and I cant reach them. I have a godaddy shared server and I am allowed 1000 emails/day. so i need to setup around 40 an hour! to stay safe.

But it just does not work at all! now if im doing something wrong I sure dont see where! I must say that I know nothing at all about Cron Jobs Commands yet I I like the acajoom component but I Can Not use the manual send because it will send too many in a 24 hr period! So any help is really needed mate so I can get this thing working and reach my members!

I think you already saw my reply on an other post but I will copy/paste my answer here so people can see it :

We now offer to all our user a free cron task at www.joobisoft.com. Our own site will launch your Acajoom component so you don't need to bother with your CPanel or anything like that (you can uninstall JCron! ).

1. Register and validate your account at http://www.joobisoft.com
2. Login in
3. Click on the User Menu called : My Cron Task
4. Configure your cron task (very easily) and save the page
It's done! You don't need to do anything else and our site will launch your Acajoom component every 15 minutes.

For a server limitation with 1000emails/day, I recommend to configure Acajoom with :
Max scheduler frequency : 30
Max e-mail per tasks : 20

So you can create your cron task on Jobisoft.com with a frequency '30 minutes', it will be enough. Please check our official documentation and existing replies before posting on our forum!

I would just like to say thanks heaps mate cause it is all seeming to be working properly now as far as I can tell, mails are going out in bunches just like they should! Great support and an awesome component well worth the money I paid!
