What is SiteSearch? - 2006/07/01 05:07
SiteSearch is an optional element of AdSense for search, allowing users to search within the pages of your website. SiteSearch results also benefit from Google pay-per-click ads, allowing you to earn revenue from user searches of your site. Because SiteSearch uses Google's search index to return the most relevant results from within your domain, SiteSearch will not be able to search any pages that have not been added to the Google index.
To set SiteSearch as the default for your AdSense for search box, simply select your site in the example search box on your Search code page. The search code you generate will then reflect this default setting.
Please note that adding SiteSearch to any page will not queue that page for crawling by our bots. If you would like to manually add your site's main URL to our crawl, you may do so at http://www.google.com/addurl.html. Submitting your site in this manner does not guarantee inclusion in Google's index.
