How to create smart newsletter? - 2007/03/16 19:07 When I chose "Smart newsletter", and then "new", it tells me to chose a "a list from the drop down menu".

No matter what list I chose, I can't figure out how to make a smart newsletter?

Please let us have some info on this. Using Acajoom+ on:

1. Is it true that we cannot select ALL sections? It seems to me that we cannot and as we have out content (also new content) in several sections, we need to be able to select all sections as well as all categories

2. When I send testmail with [SMARTNEWSLETTER] to my own mailadress, nothing happens? Using Acajoom+ on:

You can't send a smart-newsletter directly it will processed automatically when on the specified send date.

Set up your smart newsletter list. create one mailing for the template and then let the scheduler (cron task) do the rest.

If I can see "All Categories" when a section is selected, I don't have this option for the Sections. I can see "select a section" and below the various sections.
1) How can it be done ?
2) If selection of all section is possible, or if I change the selectied section in an existing smartnewsletter (List management) , is the change communicated to the smartnewsletters module ?

Don't select any section and the SmartNewsletter will be created with all sections (keep the dropdown on "select a section").

You can change the section/category when you want, the SmartNewsletter will take those informations. Please check our official documentation and existing replies before posting on our forum!
