SOLVED - Unable to install : Another Component is already using dir... - 2008/07/04 18:35 Hi all,

I have tried to install Acajoom on my server. For some reasons it failed the first time so I have completely cleaned up the install and tried again. But then I get this message:

Component Install: Another Component is already using directory: "/...my_path.../www/components/com_acajoom"

It looks like a component still points towards the mentioned directory but I don't see why.

I have removed all acajoom folder (in Component, Plugins, modules)
I have checked in the extension manager menu that no component, plugins or modules is still present.
I have removed all acajoom tables in my DB.

Debug on option doesn't bring additional clue.

Did I miss something?

The Acajoom module is registered on the table jos_modules.

Delete this entry.

It should solve this problem.

I have just found the reason. Here it is.

Despite the error message was referring to the folder :
/...my_path.../www/components/com_acajoom

, I have discovered that a footprint of Acajoom was still in this other folder:
/...my_path.../www/administrator/components/com_acajoom

Removing this folder has solved the issue
