Open newsletter archive in new window - 2007/08/25 00:08 Hi,

We have the Acajoom component in use, but have the following problem;

When we view the newsletter archive on the frontend and click a newsletter, this one is showed in the sites template. Because the newsletter doesn't fit in the template (because of the width) we get a ugly layout.

Is it possible to open the newsletter in a new window, so this problem doesn't occur?
Or does anyone have another solution/workaround for this?

This option can be interesting. I will keep it in mind.

Nevertheless, if for all your CSS you specify a class or an id, your Newsletter shouldn't be modified by your CSS steelsheet. Please check our official documentation and existing replies before posting on our forum!

Thanks for your reply. It would be very nice to make opening in a new window as a setting.

The problem of the layout is because of the image that is used in the header. The image width is bigger then the column for content.

I hope you can put this on the list for a next release.

Or is it possible to have a workaround, or code adjustment, to make this already working in the code.

Because for this site the archive newsletter always needs to open in a new window.

I hope you can help me with a code change.

You have to change all links from index.php to index2.php (Joomla won't load the template for index2.php) and add a target="_blank" in the link...

But we need to test that as well because I'm not sure it will be very nice...

If you fix a width for your Newsletter, it won't solve your problem? Please check our official documentation and existing replies before posting on our forum!

Re:Open newsletter archive in new window - 2007/10/05 12:40 I have the same problem and can't change the width of the newsletter because my client wants the newsletter header to be the same as the website. I guess I'll have to manually copy & paste the content into a content page. It would be great to be able to choose to post the content without the template and the Hello [NAME].

I really like your product, though.
