I believe there is some kind of bug with the CB integration and the list's auto subscribe function.
Here the situation:
I have 3 lists. I show only 2 of them at CB registration form. I don't want to show them the third list because I want it to work as auto-subscribe for the new users (without asking them).
The problem:
The auto-subscribe option doesn't work for the third list.
Any Idea ?

be sure that this third list is published and not visible to the frontend
this is technically a much bigger problem.
the state victune is trying to achieve is:
hidden registration - for this the value: Auto Subscribe Users? should be set to New Users
allow a user to unsubscribe from the list - for this the list itself must be set as Visible in frontend
the user should be unaware of this registration (as an addition to the first point) - therefor the list shoud not be listed in the CB integration (to appear on registration) - not even as hidden inputs because tampering the post data will allow a user to not subscribe himself to the list
this short explanation leads to a very serious ACAJOOM bug!

If you use this plugin, the option 'auto subscribe new users' in your list won't have any effect. If you want the user to be automatically subscribed to one or several lists during the registration, simply configure your Acajoom CB Plugin to add few lists on the registration form and don't show the name of those lists (don't forget to select the option "check list by default" if you hide the lists' name).
So in your case, you simply have to configure your Acajoom CB Plugin so it will add your three lists on the CB form (with check by default and display name).
Then in your Acajoom list management, you have to make the third list "not visible". So Acajoom will add your three lists in the CB form, two of them will be displayed so the user can modify it, and the third one will be hidden.
The user will still be able to unsubscribe from your list as we include a link in each Newsletter. So he will be able to directly click on this unsubscribe link, even if the list is not visible on the frontend.
Nevertheless, the function 'modify your subscription' will only display your visible lists. But I don't think it's a problem in your case.
Please check

I have problem with this method. In some countries, include mine, it is not allowed to use "check by default" for commercial lists, because the Law (The Anti Spam Act) allow sending newsletters only to those who check/sign by themselves.
It is allowed to use "check by default" for non commercial lists (in my case it is the third list).

Unfortionatly, The Anti Spam Act, forbidden such function no matter what kind of list is it (commercial or not).
I'm not a coder, but I believe that this issue need a fix, not just because the Law, but because it should function like that.
Thanks.

As soon as you provide a direct link in your Newsletter to unsubscribe from the mailing list, it's compliant with any Anti Spam law I read... So the "modify your subscription" is an extra information and the "unsubscribe" link is legally enough.
In fact, you simply want to add some hidden lists in your registration form but don't check the visible ones by default... isn't it?
If so, I will make the changes so any hidden list will be "checked" by default and leave the option "check list by default" only for visible lists. Would that do the job for you?

yes, but not showing the list in that information page does not look much professional from the eyes of the subscriber - he will think the site is a scam...

Yes, I also believe it is legelly enough. But I think you should consider this option, because the Court...can to interpret the Law different.

Yes. This will the job and will be compliant to the Law, but as said @mtk there is a problem with hidden lists.

About the value of the checkbox for hidden lists, that will be fixed next week and should be released in two or three weeks... As a temporary solution, I think you can check by default all your lists, even the one which are displayed...
About the values of hidden fields, that will wait the next generation of Acajoom (two or three months).

no, sorry again.
the spam law requires no opt-out subscription.
meaning, the subscriber needs to ask for a subscription & not opt out (unmark the checkbox) from it...
