Blank Emails

Hi,

I just installed Acajoom News 3.0.7 on Joomla 1.5.7, and I am able to see the test emails I have sent that are sent as non-HTML, but for some reason the HTML emails aren't shown at all. I get a completely blank email. I've seen this question around the forums, but the answers have only been sent by email. Could someone please help? Thank you.

Re: Blank Emails

Hi,

you can find email encoding options in Acajoom configuration. Use MIME (base64)

It's already set to MIME (base 64).

Re: Blank Emails

I checked it in two clients:

Mozilla Thunderbird and whichever client my school uses. I'm not sure how to tell for the school client. If this helps you at all, this is a link to the webmail page for my school login:

Re: Blank Emails

Hi,

can you confirm that those clients have "Show images" enabled in their mail clients?

Re: Blank Emails

I'm not sure about my school client, but Mozilla Thunderbird definitely does. I get several other news letters, and I usually have to click "Show Images" to see the images, but not the text in these other newsletters. The layout is still apparent, but the images are replaced by little red dots. I don't see those in the emails sent by Acajoom News. Also, in my school email client it says something like "this email is empty" or something like that whenever I try to view the newsletter from Acajoom News.

Re: Blank Emails

Hi,

did you by any chance subscribed those test accounts to receive text only newsletters and you didn't write text content in it?

Re: Blank Emails

No. I have sent several test emails, some text-only and some with HTML, both with text. The text in the text-only emails showed up, but I got absolutely nothing when I sent the HTML emails.

Re: Blank Emails

Hi,

you didn't answer to my actual question. I asked if you choose for this user to receive only text versions of newsletters. Go to your subscribers list, click on the name of this subscribers and check if this option is set

Re: Blank Emails

Oh I'm sorry I misunderstood. Yeah, the option is already set to HTML. That was one of the first changes I made hmm.

Re: Blank Emails

Also just as a note: don't send an email to the sender, Elsa. I am the webmaster, so I've been trying to figure this out. She's the one who is going to be sending the emails out after I work out the logistics, so if you must email me, please send an email to:

Re: Blank Emails

Nothing that says E-news SFA or "Test" or that has the sender as World Wide Web Server?
